David Ogilvyの著作を要約している（と思われる）英語圏のサイトを読んでみると、3Bの法則とは相容れないような主張をしているようだ。例えば、”Nobody has ever built a brand by imitating somebody else’s advertising” （何者も他者の広告を模倣してブランドを築いたことはない）
